Our waterways and all the fish and species that live in them are precious taonga, so we have set out to understand how they are valued and what should be done to provide the future we want for our water.
The importance of the environment, Hutt River and our waterways are important to me and critical to the well-being of current and future generations. We are looking forward to working with you to maintain and improve the quality of the water in our catchments. We need to fix our waste and stormwater infrastructure with population growth putting more pressure on our pipe networks. I need your help to find solutions that are equitable and fair.

Lions New Zealand identified a need for spectacles to aid people in the Pacific Islands.
As a result The Lions Club of Kapiti has a spectacle recycling project and they are continually looking for used glasses that can be used in this project.
Do you have any old glasses that you wish to pass on?
Useful items are passed on to Volunteer Ophthalmologist Services Overseas (VOSO) for distribution to those with poor eyesight in the Pacific Islands.
They are then sorted, checked for cracks and scratches before being washed in an ultrasonic washer and dried. They then have their prescription recorded and are packed for delivery.
VOSO consists of teams of eye surgeons, optometrists and eye care workers who visit the isolated communities and bring enhancement to the lives of hundreds of people annually.

This Queen Bed and Mattress was left by previous owners and not required by us. Smoke free home.
It was occasionally used for guests.
It is a light brass and wood frame with a head and end board. The mattress is quite soft.
Both must be picked up together-
I am looking for someone who can translate drawings into patterns and then sew the garments in leather. I have designed a conscious movement clothing range and need a team to make it a reality. Maybe you also know someone, who could be interested in something like that?
