While any councillor convicted of a crime carrying a penalty of two years or more imprisonment was disqualified from office, the Local Government and Local Electoral Act did not prevent them - or anyone with a conviction - from standing again.
What are your thoughts? Should councillors with convictions be allowed to try and win their seat back?

Missing little ginger cat named Suzy . Went missing 2 weeks ago today from Tiroranga,Lower Hutt,Western Hills area desperate to find her. She was being baby sat. She normally from Rongatai, Kilburnie.welly. Her family r over seas. & desperate ly need to k w she’s ok & been found. Please help me by posting this on neighbourly Lower hutt& fb & any site use csnvthinkbif Thanku. Reward offered if Suzy found. She can be dropped iff at vet /spca Lower Hutt as they aware she disappeared. Or contact me on 0211865296 if you found her. Or fb mesage Aroha & Rose Gell they would be over the moon hearing sum1 found her. Ps: if you live in that area please look up trees, under house if heat noise, in garage , by shed & bushes etc. Thanku so very much

Due to a mains burst, customers in Black Rock Road in Newlands are currently without water. We have crews out working to resolve the issue.
Water is expected to be back on by 8pm - however we will update this post if this changes.
