Hello, our recycling bins are over flowing and do not wish to put them in the rubbish bin. Is there anywhere we can take them whilst we are in Level 4? Does anyone know if the rubbish dump/recycling depo will open again in level 3?

Tradespeople:
Tradespeople can do maintenance if it is to maintain the necessities of life or critical to safety. This includes electricians, plumbers and builders.
If you have safety concerns about your fire place or chimney, contact your local chimney sweep or plumber and have a discussion with them on the way forward. They may have questions such as have you got any other form of heating? What are the symptoms/how urgent is the job?
If you have the tools and experience and are going to clean out your chimney yourself, be safe. We dont want to have to turn up to load you into an ambulance or lower you off the roof!

A decision had yet to be made on the rubbish dumps but they would likely open.
“There’s a lot of detail to be worked through and the operators of these facilities need to be satisfied that they can operate safely and effectively under the government’s Covid-19 guidelines.
“We’ll be updating the Covid-19 page on our Council’s website once we have more clarity on the situation and will do our best to communicate any changes."

I started a group called self-isolation activities New Zealand on Facebook, in effort to help out people during these difficult times. There are now over 600 members keeping themselves and their families busy.
The page is evolving all the time with not only activities you can do, but also music to listen to, posts you can laugh at, and quizzes you can complete, but best of all it is a page for ages.
You are also welcome to post any ideas you have and to keep our communities smiling and busy!!
The page has many different ideas posted over the course of a day, so please take time to navigate through the posts, or click on the topics at the top of the page to search for ideas of interest.
I did try and post on Neighbourly after I last posted about this group, however, due to many ideas being on video, I was unable to do so.
All the best, take care and stay well, thank Kirsty
