This lamp has no wick or lamp flue, just a metal cylinder to place a candle in, which we have done in the past. Pretty glass base, copper or brass middle and nice shaped chimney. Height 35cm, widest part 11cm. Contact Viv on 0211719691.

This rug was brought back from Egypt by my uncle who was in the First Echelon and fought in Egypt, when he returned from the second World War. It is silk and I have had a tape put on the back so it can be hung from a rod. It is silk and I have had a tape put on the back so it can be hung from a rod. Though a bit faded faded, the colours and the detail are amazingly good after all this time and in the photos you can see the sheen it still has. The rug is in excellent order with no holes or damage. I think it probably originates from Turkey as I think it pictures the Blue Mosque. It really is lovely. The rug measures 110 cm by 61 cm. You can collect it in Otaki or I can post it at your cost. I have been keeping it rolled up in a tube to protect it so would post it in that. If interested please call or text me on 021818636.

NIGHT LIGHTS GARDEN WALK: APRIL 11th & 12th
Meadowcroft Garden, 722 Otaki Gorge Road.
After fabulous feedback from visitors last year, Neil and Avis MacInnes are again opening their special garden at night in two weeks’ time. SAVE the DATES!
Clever lighting brings the garden alive after dark and provides an opportunity to see another side of this unique garden. Very popular in daylight, the garden is usually only opened at night to friends and family, so this is an opportunity you should not miss.
On both FRIDAY 11th & SATURDAY 12th of April Meadowcroft garden will open to all from 7pm – last entry 9.30pm. $15pp and $5 for children under 12 years (cash only please).
Off road parking will be available.
This year the exterior of Te Horo Hall needs to be reclad (Stage 2 of the Hall renovations). The entry fee will contribute to this work – your support is much appreciated.
Please note:
Due to water features and reduced lighting the garden is not suitable for young children, and no pets are allowed. Special care is required with steps, sloping pathways and ponds. While every effort has been made by the owners to ensure the garden and car parks safety, visitors enter at their own risk.
