What you need to know:
- The product is called Large $20 Acacia Serving Tray and was sold nationally.
- The product may be infested with Lyctus africanus (also known as the African powderpost beetle), a species not present in New Zealand.
- Kmart are no longer selling these products and will wait for instruction from MPI before destroying these.
Anyone who finds a suspected exotic pest is encouraged to call MPIโs hotline on 0800 80 99 66.

Soroptimist International exists to inspire action and create opportunities to transform the
lives of women and girls.
The Betty Loughhead Soroptimist Scholarship provides financial assistance to women who
are studying for a qualification to:
โ enter or re-enter the workforce; or
โ change occupation
Who can apply? Women who are:
โ New Zealand citizens
โ At least 25 years old on 1 September 2023
โ Enrolled in an NZQA approved education programme, undertaken in NZ
โ Have a proven record of academic achievement (you must be in at least your second year
of academic study)
โ Able to use the scholarship in the 2024 academic year and/or summer school

โ Willing to participate in Soroptimist promotional activities (if successful)
โ The Betty Loughhead Soroptimist Scholarship is not available for Phd students

And they may get it even cheaper than that - lots of community organisations offer extra funding to reduce the cost further.
