They were always a favourite when we went to Foxton because they shared their stories and skills so generously. They've been displaced by a group of gauche young carvers who have no idea how to relate to the public. "We kicked them out," said one when we enquired. Please, Foxton, can another home be found for the ladies, as they added so much to the Foxton area?

When Erich Krogmann started the Food and Beverage Level 2 qualification, he had to learn how to balance study with a night job and a young family, but his main challenge came in the form of his hearing disability.
Erich says he thinks he’s inspired other people with a disability to take on training.

I have an apparently injured bird scampering around an enclosed room. There are no visible injuries but it would appear that the bird is, presently, unable to fly. To my untutored eye, it looks like a blackbird, given that its black and is a bird. I have no idea how to aid its recovery and there are cats around.
Do we have a local bird recovery centre around here? Any advice would be most welcome.
Thank you.

If he's locked in somewhere he will be starving by now, as he was last seen on Monday 21 June. If you live in the Park Road-Batt St-College St area or nearby, please, please check your property - and your neighbours' if they are away. He doesn't usually go near the road, but if he has been killed some how, it would be far better to know than to imagine. He's quite a large cat and black and white, with a black 'mask' effect on his face. Ph 027 2424-112 or 06 3572116.
