Ever since the lamented demise of Palmy's community paper The Tribune last year, friends and acquaintances have said how much they missed the publication and its curated coverage of community stories.
A feature that seemed to be especially missed was the weekly What's On and its daily list of events, performances and shows.
So, in response here's a hastily concocted trial of goodies taking place around Manawatū Thursday to Wednesday January 17 - 23.
It is not a booking site, just an overview and handy reference that can work alongside complementary sites such as eventfinda and other official theatre and event booking outlets.
What do you think? Is this useful? Is it worth continuing and perhaps expanding

An easy, cheap trap is to cut the top of a plastic bottle and turn the top upside down. Mix 2 cups apple cider vinegar, 2 cups sugar (not honey as that will attract bees) and 1 cup water. I found this enough for 3 bottles. Wasps get in and can't get out.
