There are many ways where you can show your support, love and unity to mark one week since the devastating terrorist attacks in Christchurch.

🧡 The Feilding Farmers Market will be holding a minute's silence at 10am to show their love and support for the Muslim community, the people of Christchurch and their stallholders.

💛 At 1:32pm as a nation, there will be two minutes of silence to remember the fallen, the survivors and those affected on Friday 15 March.

💚 The #headscarfforharmony movement - New Zealanders of all religions are encouraged to wear headscarves or head covering. It aims to support and acknowledge the pain the Muslim community is suffering, and the grief New Zealanders share in the midst of tragedy.

💙 The #colouryourday movement - We encourage you to wear something colourful in your school, business and community.

I’d placed something in there for someone to collect and unfortunately when they arrived we were both surprised to see that my mailbox was open and the item I had thought would be safe had been taken by some thief of a stranger. Moral of the story: be careful what you leave in your mailbox on College Street particularly. I just hope they didn’t steal any courier packages or mail from anyone else!
