We’re not sure who decided that Black Friday was suddenly a ‘thing’ down in our part of the world, so, as us Kiwis tend to do, we thought we’d put our own spin on it instead. One that is much more focused on community over consumerism, and equally about giving as it is about getting.
Curious?
Kicking off today and running through 'til Monday 2 December, we are doing our annual buy-one-give-one campaign.
That means for every Christmas Gift Box or Christmas Cracker set purchased, we’ll also give one to City Missions and food banks across the country to support families in need. Our aim is to give back to an organisation within the community that each of our customers live in.
The best part? There’s no car park congestion, over-crowded shopping malls or #walmartfights involved. You can shop online from the comfort of your own home, with the knowledge that you’re also doing good for fellow Kiwis in their own community.
You could say that our version of Black Friday is in fact a whole lot more colourful, adding brightness to what might otherwise be a fairly bleak Christmas for many families in New Zealand.
Together, we can make Christmas a bright and tasty time for families in need - and that sounds like a pretty good deal, don’t you think?!
Whether you’re buying for an avid foodie, a wannabe masterchef, a time-poor parent, or a student who needs help to step their signature spag bol up a notch, our Christmas Gift sets are guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser, are all gluten-free, with no MSG, and all-natural!
You’ll find more information about Raptor Naturals, our Christmas Gift Boxes and our Christmas Crackers on our website - www.raptornaturals.co.nz
Thanks for your support

NZ Bus operates some of our busiest routes along Dominion, Sandringham, Mt Eden and Manukau Roads, as well as other routes across the wider Auckland region. All services run by other operators will be running. School buses, trains and ferries are not affected.
We understand that this will be frustrating for our customers and apologise for the inconvenience. We’re working closely with NZ Bus to minimise disruption and make sure drivers will return to work as soon as possible after the meeting.

Hi neighbours,
There is one common reason that is accounting for one-quarter of all immediate failures of driving tests - out of the options below, what do you think is the common reason Kiwis don't pass the test? Vote in our poll.

A new electorate named Flat Bush has been proposed for the south Auckland area, which would have a domino effect for the north Auckland electorates (Northland, Rodney, Upper Harbour and Whangarei), which are currently 38 per cent over quota limit. The excess population would move south through the Auckland isthmus to populate the new electorate and see the Rodney electorate reconfigured to include the Whangaparāoa and Dairy Flat areas, with Warkworth moved into the Helensville electorate. With this change, the Rodney electorate would require a name change, for which Whangaparāoa has been proposed.
What do you think about the proposed changes? Do you think Whangaparāoa is an appropriate name for the would-be-former Rodney electorate? Or do you have another suggestion? Let us know in the comments.

2. BUT: I have not noticed that AT had added any additional bus services for after the parade - we had just the standard two buses per hour! HELLOOOOOO, REALLY? What went wrong again in AT management?
But this made my day:
A bus driver had finished his bus service in Albany. But then he realised how many families were waiting for the bus for Hibiscus Coast Station, which for some reasons just did not arrive. He jumped onto his bus and signalled that he will be driving us to HCS. What a great DEDICATION OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
AT management delivered a bad customer experience - but this bus driver (=front staff!) could fix it again!
WOW - kudos to this bus driver! And lots of passengers thanked him explicitly!! I LOVED IT!
