Hi Auckland,

Auckland has topped the global rankings of liveability, rising 11 places to take the top spot.

The survey, commissioned by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), gives mathematical weight to such a claim. New Zealand's world-leading response to the spread of Covid-19 has been cited as one of the leading factors in the significant jump in rankings.

The EIU's index rates the living conditions and comprises 30 factors grouped into five categories: stability, health care, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.

Read more about Aucklanders' views here.

Does Auckland deserve the rank? Share your thoughts below and don't forget to type NFP if you don't want your comments used in your local community paper.

Harmony Circle – Guest Presenter Sunday 13th June
Dean Weber – My Life. My Soul. My Farewell.

Venue; Community Hall, 2 Alnwick St (next door to Town Hall), Warkworth.
Open at 6.45pm for a 7pm start. $5 Koha – Harmony Circle is non-profit.

I’m Dean Weber, owner of besoul funerals. Originally from Iowa, trained in the United States 26 years ago and moved to Warkworth 15 years ago.
I look forward to sharing some of my knowledge and experiences that I’ve gained over many years, also giving an opportunity for you to ask questions you may never otherwise think to ask.
For some the process of the soul’s transition can be a challenging time when many thoughts and uncertainties can come to mind.
Supporting people through the process of organising a funeral I have seen the likeness in people from all cultures in the need to be able to say goodbye to a loved one and the difference it makes when they have the right information at the right times to help them create the service that they need to start the healing process.
Your soul is the indelible individual part of you that consists of your character, thoughts and feelings. At besoul we bring our passion to creating a memorial event that captures that essence of a person.
Through besoul I want to inspire people in how they remember and celebrate the life of their loved ones.

Win a box of chocolates gifted by Dean in the evening draw!

Everyone welcome, this is an open group, come along if you can, look forward to seeing you there!

Kia ora neighbours. CCO Eke Panuku is seeking the former owners of eight properties on Whangaparāoa Rd and one on Brightside Rd in Stanmore Bay.

The Rodney District Council purchased 23 properties under the Public Works Act between 1997 and 2000 so it could undertake a road widening project. However, the work never went ahead, so the council is obliged to re-offer the properties to the former owners before it can list them on the market.

Eke Panuku has managed to get in touch with some of the former owners, however it is asking the following people (or their successors) to get in touch by July 9: Rosemary Martha Meek, Mary Patricia Cavell, Kent Woodward La Rue & Janice Mary Barlow, Bernice Adelaide Evans, Noleen Alice Walker & Collin George Dyson & Allan Dyson, Lyall David Martin & Christine Martin, Norma Valerie Revell, Brendan Ronald Thickpenny, and Ronald Frederick Pilbrow & Verna Doreen Pilbrow.

If you were one of the people who the council acquired property from, I'd really like to hear from you too. Are you upset that the road works never went ahead after you were forced to give up your home? Please email me at caroline.williams@stuff.co.nz

PSYCHIC and MEDIUMSHIP READINGS

Hi Everyone !
Perhaps you are curious about mediumship but a little nervous about receiving a reading ? Relax. There is no need to be concerned. It's natural for us to be a little apprehensive about things we don't understand or know about.
A psychic can predict coming events in your life, but a medium can do that as well as communicate with the spirits of people who have passed over. Psychics and mediums work only in what's called "Love and Light", and there isn't anything to be nervous about Think of it this way :- a loved one of yours who has passed would love to be able to say "hello" to you and let you know that they haven't gone for good, they are still around you, still caring about you, but have simply passed into another dimension. So why not just pop along and be part of our friendly audience ? Many people who have turned up at our meetings have been given hard evidence, sometimes names. There is a different medium at each meeting.
We are a non profit team of volunteers who simply provide a public sevice for those interested in spirituality. Our next fortnightly meeting is at 7:30pm on Wednesday the 16th of June at the Theosophical Society Hall, 9e, Annalise Place, off Forest Glen, off Puriri Avenue, Orewa, and,

ALL ARE WELCOME !

There is an off road carpark, just look for the flashing Christmas lights. We finish around 9pm and supply free coffee, tea and chocolate biscuits afterwards. And for all this we ask only $5 to cover costs. ( we have to hire the hall )
People have received some amazing, enlightening and very comforting readings, as well as good advice. Once you've experienced one yourself it will change your outlook in a really nice way. Forever. So why wait ? Come along and join our happy band of followers who will be pleased to share with you how special spirituality is.
