I’ve seen and tasted some incredible award-winning wines, and this year is by far my favourite. This Sauvignon Blanc is so fruity on the palate, with flavours of lime and feijoa. 624 people were seen over five days with nearly 70% needing glasses. Amazingly, 150 people attending the clinics were are able to leave with their new glasses which were manufactured on site!
OneSight Programme Manager for Australia/New Zealand Jenny Harnett says it was an honour to partner with The Salvation Army to deliver these clinics to communities in need. “We believe that glasses unlock potential, providing opportunities for students to learn, for people to work and earn a living, to drive, to read, and to support their families."

Able Invercargill is running the Waves Programme, commencing Wednesday 16 October 2019.
Waves is an 8-week programme that aims to support adults (18+ years old) who have been bereaved by suicide for at least six months.
The programme combines learning about suicide and bereavement with group discussion and support. The group is facilitated by trained facilitators and supports members to:
● Meet and share with others who are also experiencing the impact of suicide
● Provide a safe, supportive environment to explore aspects of their grief and reduce isolation and stigma associated with bereavement by suicide
● Gain information and strategies about how to care for themselves and others (including children and young people) after a suicide
● Adjust to living with loss and moving forward
