Friday 31st August is Daffodil Day - the Cancer Society's annual fund-raising appeal and the majority of the money raised will be used to support families in our community who are affected by cancer - counselling, home visits, transport to medical appointments, various support groups, etc.
Over 650 people in Taranaki are diagnosed with cancer annually. Who will YOU wear your daffodil for?
Daffodil Duck Race – Sunday 26th August at 2pm down the Huatoki Stream. Ducks cost $100 each. Prizes to be won as well as spot prizes. For more details contact Melissa ph. 06 757 3006 or email melissa.callaghan@cancercd.org.nz
Cycle of Hope – Friday 31st August around the mountain. All cyclists are encouraged to participate, whether for the whole distance, relays, or whatever legs of the route are convenient. It’s not a race! For more information email Joel Dodd joel.dodd001@msd.govt.nz
