Cooking Classes for Seniors

Sally from The Brook

Are you finding it hard to get up and feed yourself a good meal, lacking the confidence to make good food and needing some more skills in the kitchen ?

If this sounds like you, perhaps you would like to consider attending our FREE cooking classes starting this Thursday, 25th Feb. They run for 4 weeks and each session is 3 hours long.

During this time you learn about nutrition, meal planning, portion size, food labelling, good food practices and even more. You'll see me demo one of the recipes and then you will make a couple. We then sit down as a group and enjoy lunch. All that for FREE!
You will take home a 50 page recipe booklet to try all the new recipes.
Details of location and times on the poster attached. We need 4 more people to make the numbers up to 12.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
