Top tips when an emergency services vehicle approaches with lights and sirens:
🚑 You are required by law to pull to the side of the road and stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
🚔 If the lights and siren of the Police vehicle continue past you, you can resume your journey.
🚒 Make sure you check the road is clear before moving on.

As you know, The Nelson Women's Centre, Te Whare Āwhina Mō Ngā Wāhine Puawai, is a vital support hub for women and non-binary people in the Nelson Whakatu community. The centre offers affordable counselling, workshops, and a safe space for connection and growth. However, our funding crisis has recently forced us to pause some essential services.
To help us continue providing these crucial resources, local volunteers are organising fundraising events like this one. These initiatives aim to ensure that the centre can keep its doors open and its services accessible to those who need them most.
