Hard row to hoe to meet 2050 zero carbon target?
Some businesses like Port Nelson are struggling to work out how to meet their obligations under the Zero Carbon Bill, to become carbon neutral within 30 years. The Port expects to offset its carbon emissions over the next decade, as it can't yet use or afford green technology like electric tugs and cranes or biofuel. What do you think needs to happen to help businesses and individuals cut their carbon footprint?
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
