What do you think about the new parking meters for Nelson?

Skara Bohny Reporter from The Nelson Mail

Everything's on track to install new paper-free parking meters where you register your number plate instead of displaying a ticket. You still get one free hour, but you can't re-park to trick the system into getting more than one free hour at a time.

Back Beach rubbish

Barnaby Sharp Reporter from The Nelson Mail

Has anyone else noticed all the rubbish washing up on Tahunanui's Back Beach recently? A walk there on Sunday uncovered what looked like several large pieces of road or footpath from somewhere else...
Have you found things on the beach that definitely don't belong to be there?
