My colleague Jo is writing a story about buying by tender, specifically, the new trend of writing letters to the vendor to explain why they should pick your offer over all the rest.
As the market gets harder and harder to break into, we've been hearing more and more about people trying to make a personal connection with vendors to give their tender offers the edge. We've heard folks will include personal details about their family, why the love the house and what their plans for the property are.
Jo would love to talk to anyone who's written a letter like this to accompany a tender - perhaps it's you, perhaps a relative or friend - or from vendors who've received letters like this, accompanying a tender.
Perhaps you asked for such letters?
We'd love to hear more about that experience for you and how it shaped the way the sale went.
You can reach out to jo here (she'll be joining the Neighbourly neighbourhood soon!) or via our email: homed@stuff.co.nz.
Looking forward to hearing your stories.

I would still be happy our one being in it, but it just made more sense to move him up into the one his brother had vacated! It’s a really good make, very heavy, bought at baby on the move for $600 plus I seem to recall. They still stock them. Think I can find the fitting instructions manual I got with it. But if not, I’m pretty sure if you are regular at baby on the move that they would be happy to help. Pick up is in Stoke. PM me if you wish to come and pick it up.

People near coast from BAY OF ISLANDS to WHANGAREI including GREAT BARRIER ISLAND and from MATATA to TOLAGA BAY must MOVE IMMEDIATELY to nearest high ground, out of all tsunami evacuation zones, or as far inland as possible. Evacuate these areas even if you did not feel the earthquake. DO NOT WAIT. A damaging tsunami is possible.
People in all other areas who felt a LONG or STRONG earthquake should MOVE IMMEDIATELY to the nearest high ground, out of tsunami evacuation zones, or as far inland as possible.
This evacuation advice overrides the current COVID-19 Alert Level requirements. Do not stay at home. MOVE IMMEDIATELY. Stay 2 metres away from others if you can and if it is safe to do so.
People evacuating should walk, run or cycle if possible to reduce chance of getting stuck in traffic. Do not return until all-clear is given by Civil Defence.

Being with Horses in Motueka has had great success with clients after working with their horses that the owners say, will make you cry. The horses assist people in many ways, including help build relationships, break down barriers and help children understand how to deal with bullies.

Hi there
My Year 12 group is going to recycle and reuse. They are going to use bits of material that is going to waste for whatever reason and make some homemade scrunchies and sell.
Would really appreciate it if people of the public could give them some feedback. Thanks!

I THINK I HAVE ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS AT THE MOMENT, BUT FEEL FREE TO BE IN TOUCH AS BACK-UPS MAY BE NEEDED IF ANY OF THESE CASES FALL THROUGH FOR WHATEVER REASON.
Hi all – As some of you may know, I’m studying naturopathy and nutrition, and this semester I need to find 5 clients for clinical practice assessments. This will require volunteers to fill out an extensive health history and undergo a 60-90 minute consultation with me. In exchange, I am happy to offer each volunteer a free full consultation once I am practicing next year (💃woohoo!) But for now, I’ll be looking for:
• 3 people here in the Nelson area for face-to-face consults -one with a digestive issue.
• 1 person taking at least 2 prescription or over-the-counter medications –online consult is fine.
• 1 person with a chronic condition (such as cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, dysmenorrhea, benign prostatic hyperplasia, etc.) -online consult is fine with this case as well.
Feel free to pass this along or tag someone you think might be interested💚I need all the help I can get spreading the word, especially for the in-person consults as I’ve recently relocated to Nelson and don’t have a lot of contacts here yet😅…thanks all!

Our transport was cancelled due to Covid and we are stuck to get out to the beginning of the track due to a few complications. We are 4 adults willing to pay to get to the track. We are driving to Karamea tomorrow to leave a car there at our accommodation for after the tramp. But our second vehicle won't handle the road to Brown Hut plus our packs, as its too low to the ground. We have tried a few businesses but they seem to be hit by the wave of people like us left stranded to get to the track. Are you able to help us? I have one more business to try this morning and after that we may need your assistance. Please message me if you can assist thanks :)
