Hello! If anyone has a bike rack for a car they are no longer using I'd happily buy it off your hands! Funding is a bit tight, so we're looking for something quite affordable. Let me know if you have one to sell! Thanks!

Did you know that more than 75% of alleged abusers are family members? We hear awful stories in the media of older people being abused in care facilities, scammed on the internet or taunted by the general public, but for thousands of older New Zealander's the abuse happens in their own home. Please get in contact with your local Age Concern if you suspect a family member, friend or neighbour is being abused. We can Help. #WEAAD #alwaysrespected

Attached is the Nelson City Council Notice of Acceptance of the Sanctuary Trust’s Partial Surrender of Resource Consent Conditions. Please take the time to read this document - prepare to be horrified.
There are 7 ½ pages of conditions which are now no longer valid. Examples of what is no longer required include but are not limited to the following:
- No time constraints on poison drops
- No monitoring to see if all 3 drops are required
- No operational plan certification
- No response plan for any breach of the fence
- No 6 week test on integrity of fence
- No public notification of poison drops
- No requirement for helicopter GPS – they can fly over private residences
- No hand applied setbacks
- No spill kits required
- No Health & Safety Risk Management Plan
- No dampening down of poison dust when loading
- No clean-up of spills, bags, etc. at loading site
- No reporting of spills into waterway
- No requirement for a bait screen across Brook Stream to catch bait/carcasses
- No requirement to notify private land owners of bait on their properties
- No requirement to dispose of poisoned carcasses as per Health & Safety requirements
- No fence inspections before, during or after poison drops
- No water quality monitoring
- No requirement to provide a vet (or similar) to administer Vitamin K antidote to treat any poisoned domestic animals, native or endemic birds, etc.
- No requirement to provide humane dispatch of any suffering wildlife
We find it absolutely unbelievable that a conservation group, the Sanctuary Trust, would even consider asking to have these conditions surrendered. The Nelson City Council agreeing to this just proves, yet again, the utter contempt they have for Nelson residents. There is no doubt that we are dealing with two completely morally bankrupt entities. There is no rational excuse or justification for this.
We need your support. Please share this information publicly. Let the Sanctuary Trust, the Nelson City Council and your Councillors know how you feel. Help end this insanity. STOP THE DROP !!!
