Not delivered the paper because of bad weather.
SO: I ask you ? Are they a community paper. Do the Nelson Mail care about the Region they represent and do they care about their subscribers? NO ! they don't.

(meetings.nelson.govt.nz...)
These SHA developments require no consultation with Nelson residents , neighbours or communities under the new rules introduced by the ex Housing Minister Nick Smith.
I have not had time to watch the council video (www.youtube.com...) to know the outcome of this meeting yet but feel Nelson residents should be made aware of what council could be allowing in your community without any consultation as soon as possible.
SHA housing addresses that council administration have recommended to approve are: 381 Nayland Rd/ 40 Tasman St/ Quail Rise, , Atawhai Drive & Tasman Heights.
NOTE: From information passed to me it is my understanding that the developer has applied for a 10 metre high building on the site of the exGreen Grocers at 40 Tasman St.
The following SHA areas council administration have given options of approve, decline or defer subject to community feedback are:
23 Westney Terrace, 1a,3b, 3c Hill Street North, 26 Blick Terrace
If you have concerns regarding SHAs in your neighbourhood please inform your selves by watching the council video and talking with your neighbours regarding this issue and contacting your elected council representatives . (nelson.govt.nz...)
I am happy to answer any questions that I can or please contact with the Nelson Residents Association (nelsonresidentsoffice@gmail.com) who have been actively opposing this undemocratic process in past council decisions with success in stopping high rise apartments being built in Tahunanui.
