We've had a big kerfuffle from the BVCG who've parachuted people in from here there and everywhere (even outside NZ!) that there are huuuge objections from loads of Nelsonians to the Sanctuary's bait drop. Ban 1080 got 85 votes in the Nelson electorate. ROFL.

Do you know about the new Summer Cafe on lower Queen Street? (beside the little piece of shared road and cycle path, Just before the river on lower Queen. Lower still. Keep going. If there's still road in front of you, you're not quite there yet!)

It's the perfect spot to stretch out on a blanket and watch the lawn games, talk to the lambs and horses in the next paddock, or browse a magazine at a table in a sunny spot.
Well behaved dogs and children are very very welcome!
Cycle, drive, scoot, or walk in, and enjoy a really good cup of tea, or a coffee served hot or over ice, in compostable cups, delicious nibbley bits, a piece of fresh fruit, herbal tonics, and more.
Open every day through the school holidays, from 11-2 (unless the weather is a bit manky).
I can't wait to meet you!

I prefer to get rid of as much as I can and then keep at it instead of spray - by cutting off all the leaves if you keep doing this it doesn't allow the bulb to gain energy from the sun, the bulb uses up all its energy producing leaves, till it can no longer do so - and eventually dies off - quite clever if you have the time of course
