Recently the landowners were surprised to find a small statue and a couple of unusual beer bottles at an old skid site on their steep hillside property. More recently, a 'crop-circle' type of image appeared next to the gnome, created from firewood. I was walking in the area today and saw these mysterious objects myself, so I took photos.
There is no public access close to this location... the exact locality of which has to remain a secret (unless the owners want to post it here themselves).
No unusual traffic has been seen in the area and, as far as I am aware, there have been no recent reports of unidentified aerial phenomena. Nobody I've spoken to seems to know where the statue came from... or who screwed it securely to the log it is standing on.
The image created from firewood is intriguing. It appears to be a primitive, yet artistically pleasing, representation of a humanoid, obviously a male one. One theory for its presence suggests that it is a signal to the sky people from the secretive inhabitants of the local scrublands.... perhaps showing a rendezvous point. I favour the hypothesis that it is part of a fertility or potency ritual initiated by one of the locals as there don't seem to be many pregnant women in the immediate neighbourhood.
It would be great if anybody can throw any further light on these unusual objects.

Turners reviewer comment on these Subaru’s…
The wagon's boot (at 526 litres) is enough for six medium-size suitcases. The rear seat splits and folds, expanding the space to a massive 1,677 litres. The rear door is wide and the opening low, which makes the boot easy to load.
Subaru's fulltime all-wheel drive system means the car is very sure-footed in all conditions. It has lots of grip, the steering is responsive and there is little to no body roll. The ride is comfortable, though on the firm side.
The Legacy will out-pull many larger vehicles - not normal for a CVT automatics are. It can pull up to 750kg unbraked (a medium-to-large garden trailer) and 1,800kg braked (a medium-size trailer boat).
Models from 2010 feature “Eyesight”, Subaru's camera-based safety assistant which includes autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. It is obvious if a car has this feature because a camera is visible either side of the rear-vision mirror when looking through the windscreen.
Other reviewers’ comment…
The all wheel drive Subaru Legacy is a well-respected model with a proven history. It has sporty stylish lines that separate it from other wagons on the market, and it is not too big for trips around town but still more than capable for the long journeys. This is a spacious wagon with good leg space and cargo room.

My favourite wine from this year’s New World Wine Awards is the Kingston Estate Clare Valley Shiraz 2018. Shiraz is a slightly sweet bold and fruity style, it’s more robust than Pinot Noirs but not heavy like Cab Sauv’s if you’re looking for the perfect balanced red. I find the plum notes very appealing and while this wine is young it’s still robust, and with a couple of years cellaring it will be a fantastic drop.
