New Zealand's newly drawn up THERAPEUTIC PRODUCTS BILL to replace our current "Medicines Act" is currently before the government's Select Committee, having been hurried through during these Christmas/New Year holidays... hmmm?!?! This new bill will effect everyone in some way or another, and in it's current form and wording, not always in a good way. In general terms it will impact your access to and use of health supplements, products, devices and services... and of even greater concern to cancer patients in particular will not allow them to import prescription chemo medicines, whether cheaper generic ones, or actual brand name ones... which has been allowed without any problems for years and years by countless people under the current Medicines Act. I'm hoping that this last issue is an oversight that can be corrected. If you are interested/concerned here is a link to take you to the Therapeutic Products Bill. www.parliament.nz... You will see an option on the page to "Read the bill" , or at least the parts that concern you, and an option to "Make a submission". Submissions close on 15th Feb. And it's easy to make a submission, just follow the prompts - one box to explain your concerns, and another box to offer a recommendation for sorting the problem. The Ministry of Health has been working on this bill for the last 2 or 3 years, so there's bound to be some glitches that need fixing. Here's hoping !!!

Double glazed units are 2 panels of glass held together by a sealed spacer bar in the middle ,this creates an insulated air gap between the glass, gas is often fill inside the unit giving more insulation. Double glazed units are usally between 15 and 26mm thick. They can be made up with different types of glass to suit your needs.if sound is a priority then laminate glass is used,if heat retention is required then low energy glass can be used to better improve insulation or toughened safety glass for greater security.
Double glazing can create a warmer dryer home in winter, cooler in summer, provide less noise, more security and no more weepy windows.
I do retro fit double glazing and can provide a free friendly quote call or contact Chris 021642428

Many high schools report that vaping is a growing issue despite the 18+ legal smoking age and this has been associated with the proximity of schools to vaping retailers.

Recent amendments have been made to The Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Amendment Act to limit nicotine in products and cease supply to those born in/after 2009. Less retailers are to be approved and product packaging made less appealing.

Until March 15, public submissions will accepted regarding these changes, especially around the location and quantity of retail stores as well as the appeal and addictiveness of smoked tobacco products.
