The council could face legal challenges if it put public infrastructure on a site at risk from sea level rise and river flooding, and chose not to protect people's assets across the rest of the city, they say. Should council hold off on the decision until community engagement on how to adapt to flood risks citywide is completed, and the Climate Change Adaptation Act is passed?
