What are Microgreens?
They are baby vegetables/herbs jammed packed with up to 40 times more goodness than the mature plant.
What does Home Grown seedlings do?
At Home Grown Seedlings, we value and appreciate the efforts that everyday kiwis must factor into their lives to stay healthy. We offer you the opportunity to design your own seed tray with a mix and match of all your favourite Microgreens or choose from our standard lines. Mighty Micro are grown & fertilized with certified organic media, packed full of goodness and waiting for you to harvest.
No Fuss, No Waste & Ready in Seconds.
How much does each tray cost and how to order?
Our medium punnets are our popular sellers, they start from $5.00 and our large flat trays, are popular within hospitality or large families, starting from $15. We offer delivery service direct to your door. If you register for weekly/fortnightly rolling orders, you can rest easy that we will automatically deliver to you each week before you run out. If you’re a local or visiting the area, stop by our stall and pick from our selection of Microgreens or Veg/Herb seedling plants.
Microgreen are a highly flavoursome, nutritious, easy to use versatile product that is gaining momentum in café’s, bars, restaurants, and shops all over the world. If you feel as excited as we do about Organically Grown Microgreens, we would love the opportunity to share our fresh trays with you.
We are currently growing the following, however, if you cannot see your favourite Microgreen: text or call us and we will try our best to accommodate.
Beetroot $6.60
Parsley $6.00
Rocket $5.00
Sunflower $5.00
Coriander $6.00
Basil $6.00
Celery $7.00
How do I use my Microgreens?
To reap the health benefits of microgreens, eat them immediately after harvest as superfoods, like most vegetables, begin to lose their nutritional value rapidly after harvest. You can add Microgreens to anything you want but it is best to eat Microgreens raw.
How do I look after my Microgreens?
Just water the soil (do not spray leaves), and your Microgreens will stay fresh right up to the point you harvest.

Trees That Count are an environmental charity on a mission to plant millions more native trees throughout New Zealand. Trees That Count runs the country’s only marketplace which provides a place for anyone to fund or gift native trees. This support is matched with planters throughout the country who are restoring, and growing, precious wildlife corridors or pockets of native forest, turning small projects into mighty ones.

Why on earth are there 2 rules here? This is worse than Cummings breaking the lockdown rules in the UK- this is 56 people breaking the lockdown rules! .
And the crew have apparently flown in from LA, one of the current coronavirus hotspots in the US.
And... get this! The producer says, "We're feeling very comfortable coming to the safest place in the world". Well - it WAS the safest place...
Does anyone know of a petition about this please? I have emailed our Prime Minister at jacinda.ardern@parliament.govt.nz

Do you think schools need to change the way they teach children to read? Some educators and parents are calling for a phonics based approach, after a surge in parents noticing problems with their children's reading, writing and spelling during lockdown.

It could take two years before upgrades are completed on a proposal to concrete the floor of Tahunanui's algae-ridden Modellers Pond - even if it is approved by council in the near future.

But some parents say their children are not suited to a single sex school.
