Head outdoors this summer but stay safe and respect New Zealand's environment, is the message from Hawke's Bay's Department of Conservation.
DOC is encouraging travellers to practise the Outdoors Care Code when preparing for trips. This includes planning and sharing plans, being aware of weather conditions, knowing your limits and taking sufficient supplies.
