We want March to be all about celebrating the connections we have while making new ones along the way. As we all know, what makes a neighbourhood great isn’t the houses and cars, gardens and streets - it’s the people who share their presence and aroha with each other.
A wonderful way to take part is to participate in Neighbours Day Aotearoa which takes place from 27 March - 5 April. This year’s theme is ‘Small Things Make a Big Difference’ - we couldn’t agree more!
Let us know how you’re celebrating by email or tag us online and include the following hashtag:

It's surprising how many don't know we actually have one but maybe because it's a lot smaller. People do come from Auckland and Australia for this one and if you have granny's fur coat stashed away, this is the time to bring it out. I'm already preparing my knitted outfit for the event. With the sudden cold snap on Sunday, it's time to consider knitting for the cooler months. The Sallies Shop on Carlyle Street has some great wool bargains if you are quick. My friends and I will be back at the knitting group at Wool N Things at the Onekawa shops every Saturday from 10-1.
