Last night someone entered my property and took/damaged solar lights from down my driveway. Neighbours please be aware of anyone suspicious hanging around. This was in King Street, Taradale.
I hope whoever has taken them needs them more than we do - but I very much doubt it!

Just like the smart and curious kea, our inquisitive kid reporters will peck through local, national and international news to find stories and ask questions that connect with seven to 11-year-olds, to show them that truth is not only stranger than fiction but often a lot more interesting.

Each of the five beautifully appointed suites has been subtly themed, providing individual charm as well as comfort. In the heart of the lodge is a spacious, recently renovated farmhouse kitchen enjoying garden and orchard views. A large woodburner with wetback heats the water for a series of radiators around the house, ensuring year-round warmth.
Organically managed, the four-hectare property provides the ability to live from the land with honey, fruit trees, berry patches, vegetable gardens, olives and grazing for sheep, cattle and horses. The small Chardonnay vineyard with a careful selection of clones produces a succulent house wine thoroughly enjoyed by guests from all around the world.
A range of useful ancillary sheds and buildings offers space for projects, hobbies, storage and accommodation for staff. Other facilities on the property include a petanque court, croquet lawn and small gymnasium overlooking the swimming pool.
This extraordinarily diverse and unique lifestyle is ideally located on State Highway One, less than a five-minute drive from central Blenheim and 15 minutes from numerous winery cellar doors, restaurants and the airport.

Yes, we've moved from 707 Sylvan Road, to the the A&P Showgrounds, and much bigger premises, bigger workshops, bigger projects, and bigger hopes of helping the Hastings Community with their big or little problems. Our charges range from Cakes, biscuits, $donations, and your word of mouth Adverts about us to your friends and neighbours. With 70 (odd) retired members, with a wealth of knowledge, and now women members, there are not many problems we cannot solve. (Above, I used the word ODD, which can be taken any way you like). I'm the Chairman and they call me Molly. Now that's odd. Here's a map of where to find us now. Call in for a tour. Ric (Molly), 021 2140624. Email chairman@menzshedhastings.co.nz
