The pictures show three options:
1. An artist's impression of one of three concept plans for a war memorial on Napier's Marine Parade. Under this proposal the city's eternal flame and roll of honour would be located at the site currently occupied by Napier's floral clock. The city's conference centre, formerly the War Memorial Hall, is in the background.
2. A second option being considered is to locate the memorial near Napier's Soundshell which can be seen in the background of this sketch.
3. The third location being considered is near Napier's sea-front viewing platform, which can be seen in the background of the sketch.
