The Dunedin House & Garden Tour is on next Friday and Saturday. We are still desperately in need of more wonderful volunteers to help out, in support of Breast Cancer Foundation NZ! The tours take place on Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st of March.

To say thank you (heaps) for volunteering for one of the days, you can check out the amazing houses with a free ticket to the other tour day. So, it’s a fantastic opportunity to check out eight beautiful homes around Dunedin.

Volunteers help out with the following at a designated tour house:
• Assisting with registration in the morning
• Putting up signage
• Being stationed around the house to help move people along to avoid congestion
• Ongoing monitoring of wristbands.
• Ensuring people use their shoe bags and don’t leave shoes at the door

We would really appreciate it if could help us by sharing this volunteering opportunity with family and friends! Alternatively if you know of any groups you think may be interested – let me know and I will get in touch with them 😊

If you're interested or want to find out more details please email us on volunteer@bcf.org.nz or phone us on 0508 105 105.

One way to take part is by joining or setting up a Neighbourhood Support group on your street.

Our Coordinator at Hastings District Council recently sent us this snap from a get together with residents from a new suburb who are keen to get Neighbourhood Support up and running.

To gauge interest, he hosted a free barbecue at a park with the support of their local New Zealand Police to bring neighbours together to discuss setting it up. Every group is different in how it chooses to operate. Our policy is whatever works best for your area!
