We're very glad to report that Wilson's Dam (Bream Bay) is completely full, and Whau Valley Dam (Whangārei and surrounds) is 80% full. It's the result of a pretty rainy June, and locals' efforts to save water over the last couple of months.

Since we're safely back in the "normal" zone for water storage, normal levels of water conservation are also appropriate.

Mid North Family Support (MNFS) (rebranding to Te Whaitipu Mid North Counselling) is seeking two Board Trustees to join our governance group.
We are a charitable trust with more than 35 years’ experience providing professional counselling in the Mid North District of Te Tai Tokerau Northland.
Our Mission is that, through our counselling services, we will empower those in our community to lead independent, safe and fulfilling lives. Our values are respect, integrity, manaakitanga, whakawhanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga, aroha and honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
The Trust Board governs MNFS to deliver on its Mission and ensure it is meeting the expectations of our funders. The role of a Trustee is a voluntary position.
Successful candidates will have:
• proven experience in governance and strategy
• ability to act in good faith, with honesty and integrity
• knowledge of the diverse communities we serve
• time and flexibility to attend six Board meetings a year
• a commitment to preventing sexual violence and family harm

Join us for our second Whangārei Volunteer Fair! Volunteering Northland celebrates the volunteer community in Te Tai Tokerau by hosting a day focused on volunteering, entertainment and making connections with local organisations doing amazing work in our comunnity.
The Volunteer Fair is a free, family-friendly event that includes food, entertainment, and micro-volunteering opportunities. By bringing together volunteers and organisations from all backgrounds, we want to create a space where everyone can find a cause they believe in and feel a sense of belonging in their community.
