Bevis, a resident at Ryman’s Anthony Wilding Village, recently received a gentleman’s makeover. The day began at the barbershop where Bevis and his barber Kohl shared plenty of laughs. Next up, a personal stylist helped Bevis select clothes he looked and felt great in. Being pampered isn’t the norm for Bevis but based on his smile, we’re confident he loved every minute.

The launch last week went even better than we'd hoped. I'm over the moon.
I thought I'd drop by to let you know this week's episode, Location, Location, Location, is out now.
Just like the first one, it's packed with tips, advice and anecdotes from experts and home owners on every aspect of buying your first home. It also comes with a chance to win a $500 Resene prize pack.
In episode 2, we talk to a first time buyer who moved from one end of the country to the other for a chance to get on the ladder, hear about apartments as a viable first home option and an expert gives us some tips on how to choose the right lawyer.
We all know buying a home is one of the toughest, most daunting things we might ever do as adults, so it doesn't hurt to get some expert advice and support. That's what we wanted to give you with First Rung.
Give episode 2 a listen and let us know what you think - and I hope you're all in to win that crackin' prize pack!

It has opened a medical centre trading as First Health and Wellness (FHW) located at 10 First Street, Masterton. A gap in medical services was identified because none of the Wairarapa medical centres provide an after hours service during the week. People in the Wairarapa who commute out of the area find it very difficult to get a medical appointment with their GP and it is often difficult for other patients to get an appointment with their GP until the following day.
Many people have to resort after hours to going to the Emergency Department (ED) at Masterton Hospital and for relatively non urgent ailments this can result in long wait times. This put pressure on the ED, but until now patients often have no alternative to seek ED help after 6.00 PM.
First Health and Wellness is a drop in service that now fills that gap in medical services for all Wairarapa residents and visitors and operates from 5.00 - 900 PM Monday to Friday. You do not have to be registered with FHW to get an appointment. You can contact them on 06-777-9070 or e-mail info@mhw.nz.

Some 128 oils were judged much like wine or beer; poured into glasses – blue, to prevent bias based on colour – sipped, and scored by six judges during lockdown.
Judging took place remotely due to Covid-19. Judges were sent tiny bottles of each oil, which they warmed on an electric heat pad to 34 degrees Celsius, and then sipped, sucking air through their teeth to enhance the flavour.
Best in Show went to Olive Black Extra Virgin Olive Oil, an intense blend with green grass, pine, and floral notes.

It hasn't been started for a few months .
