Memory foam works by softening in response to body heat, molding your shape, and providing a customized sleep experience.
However, while it offers some support and comfort, standard memory foam can have downsides like heat retention, sagging over time, and limited motion absorption.
Understanding TEMPUR® Material: How It’s Different
TEMPUR® material was also developed from NASA technology, but it has been engineered and refined for superior sleep comfort. Unlike standard memory foam, TEMPUR® material adapts instantly to weight, shape, and temperature for more personalized support.
Key Advantages of TEMPUR® Material
Precise body-contouring support that reduces pressure points.
Enhanced motion absorption, so you won’t feel your partner move.
Long-lasting durability, maintaining shape and support for years.
Cooling technology to regulate body temperature for a restful sleep.
TEMPUR® mattresses provide a premium sleep experience, designed to enhance comfort and support better than regular memory foam.
TEMPUR® vs. Memory Foam: Key Differences That Matter
While both materials contour to the body and reduce pressure points, TEMPUR® technology takes comfort and support to the next level.
Motion Absorption and Sleep Disturbance
Memory foam absorbs some movement, but it can still transfer motion—meaning your sleep may be disturbed if your partner moves.
TEMPUR® material is designed to fully isolate motion, ensuring uninterrupted rest even if your partner tosses and turns.
Pressure Relief and Spinal Support
Standard memory foam provides some pressure relief, but it loses support over time, leading to discomfort. TEMPUR® mattresses offer superior spinal alignment and even weight distribution, making them ideal for those with back pain, joint pain, or circulation issues.
Durability and Longevity
Regular memory foam can lose its shape and start sagging after just a few years. TEMPUR® mattresses are designed to maintain their shape and support for over a decade.
Investing in TEMPUR® means longer-lasting comfort and better value over time.
Heat Retention and Cooling Technology
Traditional memory foam tends to trap body heat, leading to discomfort, especially in warmer climates. TEMPUR® Breeze™ technology helps regulate temperature and provides a cooler sleep surface, ensuring comfort all night long.
Why TEMPUR® Mattresses Are Worth the Investment?
A mattress is a long-term investment in your health, comfort, and quality of sleep. While TEMPUR® mattresses may cost more upfront, they provide superior durability, comfort, and performance compared to standard memory foam.
Better pressure relief and spinal support for long-term wellness.
Superior motion absorption for undisturbed sleep.
Longer lifespan, outlasting regular memory foam mattresses.
Cooling technology, making it comfortable in all seasons.
If you want the best possible sleep experience, TEMPUR® is worth the investment.

Driveways can be extremely dangerous, and people need to do everything they can to ensure they keep themselves and others safe, especially where children are present.
Children move around quickly, and often won’t be seen as you are reversing down your driveway.
Always check your driveway before driving in or out, and make sure you know the whereabouts of any children.
Please use your reversing camera if your vehicle has one installed.
Alternatively, ensure all children not in the vehicle with you are accounted for.
If another adult is at the property, make them responsible for ensuring children are well clear of any moving vehicles.
If there are no other adults present, have a ‘safe spot’ for children to stand and wait for the vehicle to stop moving.
This should be somewhere in view of the driver.
Check your blind spots often, and if you can no longer see a child, stop your vehicle and move them somewhere safe before you continue driving.
If your driveway is close to the children’s play area, consider a fence or gates to separate the play area from the driveway.
You should also take the time to speak to your children about the dangers of moving vehicles and remind them that just because they can see the driver, doesn’t mean the driver can always see them.
Taking those extra few seconds to make sure our tamariki are in a safe space when you drive in and out of your driveway can help prevent so much heartache and trauma.
Remember they don’t understand the potential consequences.

This week we could discuss how to care for mother earth by respecting and working alongside nature rather than beating our earth into submission. The health of any land is directly linked to the health of our soil and our own health. Diversity of crops, regenerative farming, reestablishment of the health of all our waterways etc etc....the time of rampant materialism, quest for power and ownership have destroyed many parts of our planet and continuing wars over what land belongs to whom is continuing to destroy towns, cities and causing the death of many. Enough!! So many people are working towards a peaceful and just world too. Let's figure out what we can do to help, in whatever small way we can 👍💞💙.
Please join Diane and Maxine to share your thoughts and ideas. Things we can act upon in our own lives that CAN help our family, friends, neighborhoods, communities and therefore be part of an ever advancing civilization 💖

At 2am, Police were called to a Darlington Road address, where the occupants found an intruder inside their home. One occupant received minor injuries following an altercation with the suspect, who fled before Police arrived. Three other occupants at the address were unharmed.
A police dog unit tracked the intruder north of the bus turnaround for several hundred metres until the trail was lost.
About 2.30am, Police on patrol found a person unconscious and critically injured near the intersection of Camperdown Road and Totara Road. The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
We are making a number of enquiries into both of these incidents and are working to determine whether they are linked. There will be a visible Police presence in the area while we carry out this work and speak with residents.
We would like to hear from anyone with information that may help our enquiries.
It is possible the intruder has gone to other addresses in the immediate area. Police are asking that residents on upper Darlington Road (north of Camperdown Road), and residents near the intersection of Camperdown Road and Totara Road to report any unusual or suspicious activity overnight.
We are also asking residents to check their sections and yards for any items that may have been stolen or discarded by the offender, described as a tall man of thin, athletic build, wearing a white cap.
Also of interest, is any CCTV that may assist the investigation.
If you can help, please make a report via 105, referencing the case number 250317/6324.
