Can anyone recommend a business that suctions out septic tanks? I thought I'd found a good one in GT Environmental, but it turns out that they're not willing to dig down to reach the hatch (it's about 400mm underneath soft soil.) I thought I'd found a good one in GT Environmental, but it turns out that they're not willing to dig down to reach the hatch (it's about 400mm underneath soft soil.) Their guy turned up to do the job then just walked away without speaking to us, leaving their office manager to call me to say that the hatch wasn't accessible. She was very nice, don't get me wrong, but I thought the whole point of paying for a service like this was the whole job, not just part of it. Thoughts/suggestions welcome!

Submission to Masterton District Council Long Term Plan.
The Residents Association invites all its members and residents to a meeting this Sunday, 22 April, 2.00pm at the Scout Hall, Burling Park, Roberts Road to discuss the Associations submission to the Long Term Plan.
A draft submission has been developed by the committee but we need your input to affirm, adjust and finally adopt our aspirations before the submission is sent to the council. This is your chance to have a say on the future development of Lansdowne. The draft includes:
* riparian plantings
* a lime track connecting Nikau Heights with Manuka Reserve
* supporting the development of the Lansdowne Mountain Bike Park
* beautifying the northern entrance to Masterton on Opaki Road
* creating a community hub space
* enhancing Burling Park to include an area for pre-schoolers
If you would like a copy of the draft submission or the project plans for the Lansdowne Mountain Bike Park prior to the meeting please email Lansdownemasterton@gmail.com
Lets make this a social event, so please bring a small afternoon tea plate to share. There is very limited seating at the hall so if you can bring a chair that would be helpful. if it is cold we will have the fire burning to keep you warm.
Please also write and submit your own submission. You can do this online at mstn.govt.nz... and click on Have Your Say. Or you can visit the Masterton District Library, Wairarapa Community Centre or the main council office, 161 Queen Street for a hard copy.
