I have left a carton of rhizomes of the Tall Bearded Iris 'LILAC LUSTRE' at my back door at 36 Waltons Ave. in Kuripuni , Masterton. If anyone would like them please come and help yourself from the carton of rhizomes there.
Lilac Lustre has shimmering tones of Mauve, lilac and fawn. Large ruffled blooms on a metre high spike. Flowers come out in succession. Gives good increase. A reliable bloomer.
Bloom time is now and there are some flowers in a bucket for you to see and take. This is not really the time to be uprooting the irises as it is in the middle of the bloom season, but this particular one is hardy enough to survive.

Bearded iris are very easy to grow . At least 5 hours sun a day and good drainage. They are frost hardy. They don't die down completely in the winter but they do rest with short leaves so you still know where they are in the garden. .

First in first served. Sorry I can't take phone calls.
Thanks for looking.

Piano wanted.

Joan from Masterton District

I have a friend who is wanting a piano but not a digital one. Ideally a European upright grand is what she is looking for. It needs to be a tall piano in order to get the depth of tone the player wants. Contact number is 0277463722.
