Our extremely popular Garage Sale will be running, as well as a bake sale, plant sale and sausage sizzle...so there's plenty of opportunities to grab a bargain while you're here.
We don’t have patient beds yet, and there are no activities for patients on the weekend, but there will be lots going on that will give a great idea of how we support people in our community on a palliative journey.

I bought this chair new about a year ago. Not needed any more.
It is in great condition though there is an edge on the chair back where a small bit has rubbed against a chest of drawers and damaged the vinyl. Feeling annoyed with myself that I did that.

Dancing has so many beneficial effects on … View moreEvery Friday morning dozens of people who suffer from strokes, Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions fill up a Porirua dance hall to dosey doe, salsa, and disco dance.
But they are not just there for fun, but to improve their brains.
Dancing has so many beneficial effects on the brain that it is now being used to treat people with Parkinson’s disease, which affects about 1 in 500 Kiwis.
“Motion is lotion, getting people moving is really important,” dance leader and physiotherapist Rachel Horwell said.
