Woburn Masonic carers have been on strike again today. They certainly don’t do this lightly. The union carers just want set shifts to be able to plan their lives. The Masonic Trust have completed a multi million dollar apartment complex and are currently building a multi million dollar retirement village in Wainuiomata but all negations have failed as they stand by their claim they don’t have enough money. It’s not just about the money it’s about value care and respect. Not only will Woburn not part with ANY money but they obviously can’t afford to spare any value care or respect either.
SHAME ON YOU WOBURN MASONIC.

However this morning the pump experienced an electrical fault, which means there is no water pumping from the bore and reservoir levels are going down. We have our team on site working on a replacement as fast as possible.
The total outdoor water ban is still in place, and the community is encouraged to continue with their water conservation efforts. If the township uses more water than we can supply from the low-manganese bore, we will have to use the other bores as well. That could mean the town’s drinking water becoming discoloured.

The last of three contracts, aimed at helping homeless people into sustainable tenancies and supporting those at risk of becoming homeless, has been finalised and will start early in the New Year.
