Good morning everyone
This photo of three black shags fighting over an eel is included in my 2024 Wild Birds of New Zealand Calendar.
If you haven't ordered one already, this week is your last chance to pre-order as the job is going to the printers next week. I do get a few extras printed, but once they are gone, they are gone - so get your Christmas shopping sorted now with a unique and useful locally-made gift.
There will be a little arty surprise with every order this year - I'm getting some of my paintings printed as postcards, so will chuck in a couple of blank ones with every order.
Like last year these are a large A3-size calendar, with cover printed on 300gsm gloss art board and the pages printed on 150gsm gloss art paper. A PDF of the calendar is available if you would like one, so you can see exactly what you'll be getting.
These are printed locally in Petone at Valley Print. The calendars are $29 each inclusive of GST, plus courier at cost. Courier (NZ Post) is around $10-$12, plus approximately $3 extra for RD, but you can get up to ten calendars for the one shipping cost.
The calendars are shipped in home compostable bio plastic courier bags from a New Zealand Company called R3, inside an A3 archival envelope - this is included in the shipping.
If you are in the Hutt, you are welcome to pick up from Woburn and save the courier cost. GST tax invoices (if required) available when calendars arrive back from the printers. Payment on invoice by deposit into my account when the calendars arrive back and are ready to ship, or cash on pick-up. Calendars should be ready to ship in September.
There is absolutely no problem if you pre-order and then change your mind before I ship them, as the extras always sell out.
Email me on louise@louisethomas.co.nz or just send me a message to place an order.
Thanks for supporting my venture.

Kaka are so intelligent, and much more gentle than their South Island cousins, the Kea. It's always more investigation than sheer vandalism and mischief! It's such a joy and privilege to have them around."
