Stunning display at Begonia and Fuchsia Show
First day of the show went down a treat. Continues Sunday from 10am to 3:30pm at the Walter Nash Centre, Taita. Enter via Tocker Street entrance. Entry is $3 for adults with accompanying children free. Make your own posy bowl to bring home, activities for the kids and plants available for sale.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
