Thorndon Community Emergency Hub Information Evening
Do you live or work in Thorndon and want to know more about how the next few days might pan out following an emergency event?
Join us for an Information Evening at the local Community Emergency Hub, Thorndon School, to review the Community Response Plan for the area and then put this plan into practice during a mini-exercise using an earthquake scenario.
No experience required and you can contribute as much or as little as you like. Light refreshments will be provided. See the Facebook Event for more details.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
