Discover the unique Christmas trees dotted around the Southend of High Street. Local artists, businesses and the community have designed for your Christmas enjoyment.Check out the Street Art Trees on High Street and the Christmas windows, helping to Light up the Hutt!

Re-Tree, Christmas Tree Pop-up Exhibition About Space Hutt City, Hutt City Council’s Pop-up Programme is hosting Re-Tree Christmas Tree pop-up.

Local artists and creatives have designed and created unique Christmas trees from everyday items. These repurposed, recycled and recreated Christmas trees will become part of an exhibition called Re-Tree.

The exhibition is a community project for the whole family. The trees will be set in a grotto like setting, wander around the space and enjoy the festive atmosphere that has been created by people in our community.

12-23 December, 2020 | 152 High Street (next to F45)
Open Daily: Monday-Thursday 11AM-4PM, Friday 11AM-4PM & 6PM-8PM,
Saturday & Sunday 10AM-4PM
Entry Fee: Koha entry to benefit the Lower Hutt Foodbank (non perishable foods for families).

Last week our club hosted eleven people from Quebec for six nights.We had a wonderful time with our French speaking guests.Luckily their English was better than our French.We enjoyed showing them the highlights of Wgtn including Otari reserve,cable car, botanic gardens,waterfront & Te Papa Join our Club and make new friends around the world . in February we will be hosting the club from New York

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
