Thank you to everyone who submitted questions about their sickly plant babies. Houseplants might be fashionable, but they can be tricky to get right. Whether it’s the wrong light, too much or too little water, or a pesky draft, it doesn’t take much for your prize peace lily to turn yellow or an infestation of bugs to set in.
We put some of your houseplant questions to the plant doctors from Kings Plant Barn to diagnose. Find their answers here.

Want to know when it's your turn to get the Covid-19 vaccine?
An online tool (click on Read More) which can help New Zealanders figure out which vaccination group they’re in has been released.
The questionnaire is available on the Unite Against Covid-19 website.
Users answer a short series of questions about their health, location, job, and life situation.
The results tell them which of the four main vaccination groups they’re in, and when they can expect to get their vaccine.
Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield said the tool also provided more information about who is in each group.
“So if you’re a healthcare worker or work in a long-term residential environment, for example, it will provide an indication when you can expect to get vaccinated.
“You don’t need to provide any information that could be used to identify you, and the information you do provide isn’t saved once you leave the web page.”
The ministry said it was in the process of being translated into 24 languages, which would start to appear on the website from Monday.
The website page and online tool will be updated as the vaccine roll-out plan scales up.
“As we move through the roll-out of the vaccination programme, we want people to be as informed as soon as possible about when they can expect to be vaccinated.
“This tool is designed to make that as easy as possible,” Bloomfield said.

That’s why we started the Fight for the Flyer campaign.
This gave the people of Lower Hutt an opportunity to have their voices heard and let the Regional Council know that losing the service is unacceptable.
The Regional Council will now be reviewing the submissions and using them to inform their decision on how they will run the service next year.

"Hi there my name is Maggie, I am a loveable lady looking for my forever home. In my previous home I had someone home with me full time and when left alone for periods at a time I have shown the ability to escape out of medium height fencing. So my new home would need to have high fencing and a plan for during the day if left alone that does not include being tied or tethered. I would love a home that has older children that have grown up around strong dogs and a home that has had experience with dogs. I have had a fair bit of training but there is always room to learn more things so would love a home that could put the time into teaching me. If you think you are the home for me get in touch with the canine team to learn more about me."

Regional council chair Daran Ponter said the proposal was in response to increasing demand for park and ride facilities, and the cost of constructing multi-level parking buildings to meet that demand was prohibitive.
The proposal to do away with free park and ride spaces, is in the Greater Wellington Regional Council's draft Regional Public Transport Plan 2021-2031. Submissions close at the end of today (Friday).
