Shout out to those who took our suggestions on clearing out sumps in their streets – this definitely makes a difference 🍂

This means we have to turn off the supply between 10am and 2pm, affecting water supply to Wise Street, Craigie Way and Jack Vaughan Grove in Wainuiomata.
We recommend affected properties fill up containers with water before 10am and avoid running your dishwasher and washing machine during this time. When the water supply is turned back on, it’s a good idea to open a cold tap slowly then let it run for a minute or so to clear any air bubbles that may have entered the system. Air can cause the water to turn a milky colour, but this won’t affect the taste, and should clear quickly.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this outage and will update you if any of the above should change.

Is anybody able to recommend a good plasterer please? We have an ensuite that has just been regibbed (2.5m x 2.5m x 2.7m stud) that needs plastering to a paint finish.
Many thanks.

During lockdown I have been able to create a couple of patterns for toys. Something I have always wanted to try. So if you are looking for something different to do while you're in lockdown and maybe have someone to give your finished toy to check out my Etsy shop.

From 11am NZST on Thursday 30 April until Sunday 17 May, Artfair.co.nz will be hosting a Virtual Art Fair where you will discover more than 30 galleries from New Zealand and Australia displaying works that would have otherwise been seen at the 2020 Auckland Art Fair.
The Virtual Art Fair is in recognition of the artists who have already made special works for the Auckland Art Fair that couldn’t happen, and the galleries who have supported them in doing so.
“It comes at a time of global uncertainty, when the importance of art, community and culture are especially apparent,” their team said in a recent statement.
The Auckland Art Fair is designed to be “a celebration – as best we can – of the talent and diversity of art making by artists from our region; not only across New Zealand and Australia, but also around the wider Pacific-rim. We hope that, wherever possible, some of these artists and galleries will be supported by someone buying a work of art.”
Browse, look, enquire and consider as you get to know new galleries and artists in support of contemporary culture at a time when the artists and galleries really need it.
