Hi neighbours - a keen whitebaiter says he would like to see a licence issued for the practice as the season gets underway.

This season is under the microscope as the Government is pushing ahead with a Bill to propose stronger regulations on the country's indigenous fishery and possible regulation of whitebait fishing in public Conservation areas.
