Small electric vehicle for sale

Clifford from Helensville

Downsizing and it is no longer used, my once well known "Wright Electric Flyer". A very useful vehicle for shopping and local trips. Has superb hill climbing ability and will manage all the local hills with ease. has 5 speed gears in drive system and uses a 900 watt/36 volt motor with full electronic controller. It has a very good suspension system with coil springs and shocks and is very comfortable to ride. Does 15 kph in bottom gear where it can be classified as a mobility scooter. All in good working order with all the data needed for future mods.
Uses 3 X 12 volt sealed lead acid 18 AH batteries which will need replacement (cost about $230). Complete with spares. Ideal project for those interested in electric vehicles. 2 Amp charger comes with it which charges it up in a few hours. Range? Well it went to Parakai and back several times and I live at the top of Te Kauri Place!
BTW it could be fitted with lithium batteries which would extend the range and improve the performance. Open to all offers as I would like it to go to a good home where it will be enjoyed.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
