Muriwai Beach closed to vehicles this holiday season
Muriwai Beach will be closed to vehicle access between Wednesday 23 December 2020 and Monday 10 January 2021.
Visitors to the popular west coast beach will still be able to park at all of the regional park car parks and access points, and walk onto the beach on foot.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Come to Glasgow park, Muriwai rd Sunday between 10am and 2pm , there are craft stalls , cakes, food and a sausage sizzle. There is also a dog agility course so bring your well behaved dog on a lead and have a go. There will also be a raffle . So bring plenty of cash and get your last minute Christmas gifts.
