Come along to Te Manawa's Pay it Forward Market!
Te Manawa Community Hub wants to help our communities to help themselves by holding a Pay-it-Forward Market on Saturday 17 October from 9.00am to 12.30pm at Te Manawa.
Te Manawa has invited local not-for-profit community groups to sell donated household items, cakes/baked goods, handmade crafts, second-hand toys, books and plants, to support our local not-for-profit groups to fundraise. It’s your chance to support fundraising efforts by purchasing goods. Bring your cash and bag yourself a bargain!
It’s election day on the 17th of October, so you can cast your vote nearby NorthWest Shopping Centre and then browse the stalls at the Pay-it-Forward market.
Stay tuned to the Te Manawa Facebook page for updates about the Pay-it-Forward market and rain dates. The market will only go ahead under Alert Level One.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
