It is so nice to see input from someone that has a well informed understanding of the issues that are already impacting upon our communities. Even those far from the reach of our seas will probably be required to assist with the costs of increased coastal defences with higher rates. After recent events and with cyclone gita currently bearing down on New Zealand it seems mother nature will drown (pun not intended) the protests of the ignorant flat earth types among us. Incidentally I am finding getting letters posted in Hauraki Herald "conversations" takes 4 weeks or more because I am still waiting.
