With the warmer weather still a few months away, it can be tempting to blast the heater or stay in the warm shower a little longer.

However, heating can be expensive, which is why Terry Johnson took heating into his own hands with his DIY solar heat collector.

Because of this Johnson and his family were able to heat there home for an estimated $1.50 per year.
