TCDC tried to strike out the group’s application to quash the council's decision in April 2019 not to sign the Local Government New Zealand climate change declaration. And TCDC sought $25,000 as security for costs from the local group before the case could proceed. Both of TCDC’s applications were dismissed by the High Court which ruled the group’s case was taken in the public interest. The case will now proceed to a full hearing.

Perhaps you've pieced together a full qualification by doing online courses, or maybe you've taken a workshop rather than investing in a six-month course. We'd love to hear from you - email josephine.franks@stuff.co.nz
