Hi neighbours,

Keep your eyes peeled for the latest scam to be fooling Kiwis. Scammers are taking advantage of people looking for a home to call their own, creating fake competitions and giveaways to win a tiny home.

A recent scam asked people to sign up on their page which went through a process of multiple surveys so the scammers can collect more information about the Facebook user in the hope of collecting personal details, including bank accounts. To read all about the scam, click here.

A fraud education manager says:
- People are helping the scammers by liking and sharing the post as it spreads the virus
- As soon as you like the Facebook post it gives scammers access to information
- If unsure whether it's a scam or not, look for terms and conditions - often these scams do not have them
- If you think you've been made a victim of an online scam, contact Netsafe and report it immediately. You can access Netsafe's page here.

Hi neighbours, I have worked in the Laser Therapy industry for over 15 years, and travel overseas every year for training. My interest in this type of therapy was peaked when my husband responded to laser treatment for his different ailments.

The treatment has no side effects, does not involve any type of drugs and is non -invasive. I find the results my patients obtain following treatment very rewarding particularly being able to heal and help people that have been suffering for many months and years.

Laser Therapy was developed to treat all forms of sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions, to release and control pain and provide improved wound healing. It is a researched and tested science that provides a non-invasive and drug-free treatment and offers a safe therapeutic medical modality that is free from side effects. When it is applied to a painful joint, it helps heal the injured tissues, reduces the inflammatory response, and gives long lasting pain relief.

Some of these thunderstorms are expected to bring heavy rain with intensities of 10 to 25mm per hour and hail 10 to 20mm in diameter. Additionally there is a moderate risk that some slow moving thunderstorms could become SEVERE producing downpours with intensities of 25 to 40mm per hour. Rainfall of this intensity can cause surface and/or flash flooding, especially about low-lying areas such as streams, rivers or narrow valleys, and may also lead to slips. Driving conditions will also be hazardous with surface flooding and poor visibility in heavy rain.

Should severe weather approach or if you feel threatened, take shelter immediately.

A DOC spokeswoman said a tramper found the whales on Saturday and notified DOC staff at 10.30pm the same night.

Half the whales were dead and the decision was made to euthanise the remainder of the whales.

Hi neighbours,

Christmas is supposed to be the jolliest time of year - full of whimsical family reunions, selfless gift-giving and Masterchef-worthy feasts.

But sometimes this just isn't captured on camera. We're after those amazingly awkward Christmas moments that have been captured on film.

Maybe it was the time you went to visit Santa and your little one didn't want a bar of it. Maybe it was a self-timed family shot that went horribly awry. Or a Christmas meal that was more a festive fail.

Whatever the not-so-merry moment, we want to see it! Share your pictures and a little bit about them with us in Stuff Nation. We look forward to seeing them! Here's the link to contribute.
